EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Pippy Park Commission Act to provide that a member of an association of landowners and residents may, after consultation with that association and with the approval of and at the pleasure of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, be appointed to the C.A. Pippy Park Commission.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE PIPPY PARK COMMISSION ACT
Analysis 1. S.2 Amdt. 2. S.4 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:
RSN1990 cP-15 (a) "association of land owners and residents" includes the Pippy Park Land Owners and Residents Association or any similar successor association; (a.1) "auditor general" means the Auditor General of Newfoundland; 2. Paragraph 4(1)(a) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted: (a) 6 members who shall hold office during pleasure, to be appointed by the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, one of whom shall be appointed after consultation with the C.A. Pippy family and one of whom may be appointed after consultation with an association of landowners and residents provided that an association exists at the time of the appointment;
