EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Public Tender Act to provide that tenders would not be required in relation to emergency repairs and maintenance or unknown work identified during refit and the emergency acquisition of goods and services for ferry vessels operated by the government.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE PUBLIC TENDER ACT Analysis 1. S.3(2)(h.1) Added Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN1990 cP-45 1. Subsection 3(2) of the Public Tender Act is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (h) the following: (h.1) where the work involves emergency acquisition of parts, repairs or maintenance, or unknown work identified during refit, or where a lease is required on an emergency basis, in relation to ferry vessels operated by the government;
