EXPLANATORY NOTES This Bill would amend the Labour Relations Act No. 2 to provide for fixed terms of 2 years for regular members of the Labour Relations Board while removing the requirement for one regular member to retire every year. A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE Analysis 1.
S.6 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSNL1990 cL-1 1. (1) Paragraphs 6(2)(b) and (c) of the Labour Relations Act are repealed and the following substituted: (b) 2 persons representative of employers, who hold office for 2 years; and (c) 2 persons representative of employees, who hold office for 2 years. (2) Subsection 6(3) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted: (3) The
Lieutenant-Governor in Council shall appoint the chairperson and members of the
