Notice of Wellhead Protected Water Supply Area of the Town of Stephenville Crossing , Stephenville Crossing Wellfield WS-G-0717
under the
Water Resources Act

Under the authority of section 61 of the Water Resources Act , I designate the area generally known as the Wellhead Protected Water Supply Area, Stephenville Crossing Wellfield WS-G-0717 for the Town of Stephenville Crossing as a wellhead protected water supply area.

NOTICE

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral District of St. Georges - Stephenville East abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point at the low water mark on the northeasterly shore of Seal Cove, Rothesay Bay, having scaled UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,374,459 metres and easting 390,627 metres;

Then following an arc with a 2,500 metre radius from Well #1 of the Stephenville Crossing wellfield, having UTM coordinates of northing 5,374,547 metres and easting 393,117 metres, clockwise to point having scaled UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,376,965 metres and easting 393,685 metres;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of northing 5,376,746 metres and easting 394,642 metres;

Then following an arc with a 2,500 metre radius from Well #7 of the Stephenville Crossing wellfield, having UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,374,317 metres and easting 394,089 metres, clockwise to a point at the low water mark on the westerly bank of Harrys River, having scaled UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,376,054 metres and easting 395,875 metres;

Then running along the sinuosities of the westerly bank of Harrys River in a general southerly direction to a point at the mouth of the Harrys River having scaled UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,373,467 metres and easting 394,015 metres;

Then running due west  to a point at the low water mark on the easterly shore of Rothesay Bay having scaled UTM co-ordinates of northing 5,373,467 metres and easting 393,340 metres; and

Then running along the sinuosities of the northeasterly shore of Rothesay Bay to the point of commencement.

All coordinates refer Zone 21 of the NAD 83 Universal Transverse Mercator Projection.
