Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Gallants Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Gallants are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 659/78 and 202/91 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being a height of land southeast of the Town of Gallants having co-ordinates north 5 394 475 metres and east 410 650 metres;

Then south 78° 30' west a distance of 3,400 metres, more or less, to a high point having co-ordinates north 5 393 800 metres and east 407 320 metres;

Then north 8° 30' east a distance of 2,825 metres, more or less, to a high point having co-ordinates north 5 396 575 metres and east 407 750 metres;

Then north 86° 30' east a distance of 1,700 metres, more or less, to a high point having co-ordinates north 5 396 700 metres and east 409 425 metres;

Then south 29° 00' east a distance of 2,525 metres to a high point , that point being the point of beginning.

All bearings herein refer to grid north and as with distances and co-ordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
