CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 827/96

Carmanville Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-202)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Carmanville Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at the highwater mark of a point known locally as Gaze Point;

Then south 24° west a distance of 850 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the highest point on Noggin Hill, spot elevation 89.31 metres;

Then south 42° 30' west a distance of 1,500 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being in the centre line of the main highroad connecting Noggin Cove and Carmanville;

Then south 21° 30' west a distance of 6,900 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the westernmost point of Cynthia's Pond which drains into Gander Bay Brook;

Then south 37° east a distance of 3,600 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then north 83° 30' east a distance of 6,800 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being a high point;

Then north 25° 30' west a distance of 4,550 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being a southern point of Middle Arm and having co-ordinates 999718;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Middle Arm in a generally northerly direction to Twillick Point;

Then running in a generally southwesterly and northerly direction along the sinuosities of Carmanville Arm to Gaze Point, the point of beginning.
