Bishop's Falls Municipal Planning Area, 2021
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 , I define the following area as the Bishop's Falls Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point located approximately 520 meters southwesterly from the mouth of Great Rattling Brook having coordinates east 337,236.297 metres and north 5,425,181.878 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction to a point on the high water mark of the northwestern bank of Exploits River having coordinates east 336,915.000 and north 5,425,614.200, more or less;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction following the Newfoundland Power transmission line 133L to a point on the centerline of the Newfoundland T’railway having coordinates east 335,552.386 metres and north 5,427,441.346 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of the Newfoundland T’railway to a point of intersection with New Bay Road having coordinates east 335,426.707 metres and north 5,427,349.975 metres, more or less;

Then running approximately 4 kilometres northward via the centerline of New Bay Road to a point on the southern side of the bridge over Peters River having coordinates east 335,501.528 metres and north 5,431,326.401 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the southern bank of Peters River to a point on the high water mark of Peters River having coordinates east 344,880.000 metres and north 5,437,670.598 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southerly direction to a point having coordinates east 344,880.000 metres and north 5,436,757.400 metres, more or less;

Then heading in an easterly direction to a point on the high water mark of the northern bank of Exploits River having coordinates east 351,662.272 metres and north 5,436,757.400 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of Exploits River shoreline to a point on the centerline of the Trans Canada Highway having coordinates east 345,153.617 metres and north 5,431,833.799 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southeasterly direction along the centerline of the Trans Canada Highway to a point having coordinates east 345,437.727 and north 5,431,395.055 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southwesterly direction along a line approximately 300 metres parallel from the southern bank of the Exploits River to the point of beginning.

All coordinates being scaled from 30cm Orthorectified Imagery and being referenced to North America Datum 1983 (NAD83) using the Modified Transverse Mercator (MTM) Zone 2 Projection.

The Bishop's Falls Municipal Planning Area, Consolidate Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 818/96, is repealed.
