Notice of Protected Water Supply Area of Caribou Brook, WS-S-0440, Local Service District of Mainland
under the
Water Resources Act

Under the authority of section 39 of the Water Resources Act , I designate the area generally known as the Caribou Brook Supply Area, WS-S-0440, for the Local Service Area District of Mainland as a protected water supply area.

NOTICE

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral District of Stephenville – Port au Port abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,643 metres and northing 5,380,346 metres;

Then running in an easterly direction for a distance of 51 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,694 metres and northing 5,380,346 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 38 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,727 metres and northing 5,380,327 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 58 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,743 metres and northing 5,380,271 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 93 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,743 metres and northing 5,380,178 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 75 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,700 metres and northing 5,380,117 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 410 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,374 metres and northing 5,379,869 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 148 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 338,374 metres and northing 5,379,721 metres;

All coordinates refer to Zone 21 of the NAD 83 Universal Transverse Mercator Projection.

The Notice of Protected Water Supply Area , Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 643/96, is repealed.
