CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 840/96

Cow Head Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Cow Head Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at the coastal tip of the Cow Head peninsula and following the northern coastline of the peninsula along the Gulf of St. Lawrence to and then along the shoreline of Cow Head Harbour to a point bearing north 61° 00' west from Iron Post No. 12-1 ( Gros Morne National Park , Regional Surveyor Plan No. 82-14);

Then along a line of demarcation with the national park south 61° 00' east to the Post No. 12-1, south 72° 31' 44" east 4,694.308 metres to Iron Post No. 142?1, south 50° 53' 41" west 4,952.599 metres to a point bearing north 50° 53' 41" east 1,000 metres from Iron Post No. 1022, that post having co?ordinates 5 525 943.436 metres north and 358 011.496 metres east;

Then along a line of demarcation with St. Pauls Municipal Planning Area running north 73° 30' west 2,500 metres, more or less, and due west 3,975 metres, more or less, to St. Pauls Point;

Then following the coastline along the Gulf of St. Lawrence via Cow Cove to and along the Cow Head peninsula to the point of beginning.

All bearings and co-ordinates refer to the 3° modified T.M. grid, central meridian 58° 30' west longitude.
