CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 1031/96

Arches Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant?Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Arches Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 205/80, is repealed.

Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being on the highway extending between Parsons Pond and Portland Creek in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point in the northwesterly limit of that highway 30.5 metres wide, that point being distant 8,375 metres as measured on a bearing of south 60° 19' west from the centre of the concrete bridge spanning Portland Creek;

Then running by Crown land north 64° 15' west 214.2 metres, more or less;

Then running along the easterly shoreline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence at low water ordinary spring tides in a general southwesterly direction 434.3 metres;

Then running by Crown land south 38° 16' east 71 metres, and then south 35° 24' east 60.2 metres, and then south 34° 56' east 134.6 metres, more or less;

Then running along the northwesterly limit of the highway 30.5 metres wide extending between Parsons Pond and Portland Creek north 55° 07' east 283.7 metres, and then north 51° 07' east 41.9 metres, and then north 41° 12' east 23.7 metres, and then north 32° 31' east 27.1 metres, and then north 25° 36' east 184.9 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning and containing an area of 13.1 hectares, more or less.

All bearings being magnetic.
