Profile
Pam Parsons was raised in Spaniard's Bay and is now pleased to call Bay Roberts home. Prior to becoming an MHA, Pam completed her degree in Political Science at Mount Saint Vincent University and a program in Radio Television Arts at the Nova Scotia Community College. With more than a decade of work experience as a Journalist under her belt, Pam turned her attention to politics, winning the seat for the District of Harbour Grace - Port de Grave in 2015. She was re-elected in 2019 and 2021. Pam has served as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Department of Transportation and Works, was the Deputy Chair of Committees, and served as Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly. She currently serves as the Provincial Representative Commonwealth Women's Parliamentarians Canada. On April 8, 2021, Pam was sworn in as Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality.
