1.
These regulations may be cited as the Adoption Agency Fees Regulations

An adoption agency may charge fees for the services set out in the Schedule.

Schedule
Services for which an Adoption Agency may charge Fees:

Adoption planning, preparation and counselling.

|
Completion of consents to adoption.
|
|
3.
|
Pre-placement assessment for direct placement of children.
The Adoption Act
allows for a birth parent to select prospective adoptive parents for his or her child. Before a child is placed with a prospective adoptive parent, there must be a pre-assessment completed of the prospective adoptive parent. Under the Adoption Act
, adoption agencies are permitted to complete this work.

The completion of the adoption assessment process for all prospective adoptive applicants.
|
|
5.
|
Second or subsequent home study prepared in the province.
When a prospective adoptive parent is completing second or subsequent adoptions a new adoption assessment is required to be completed.

6.
|
Each up-to-date home study. When an adoption placement has not taken place within one year of approval of the applicant, an up date to the home study and supporting documentation is required.
|
|
7.
|
Supervising placement, completing post-placement reports, preparation of documents for granting of adoption order for each child placed with a perspective adoptive parent and other adoption placement service.
|
|
8.
|
A prospective adoption file transfer.
|
|
9.
|
Facilitating openness agreements.
|
|
10.
|
Preparing post-adoption reports for a childs country of origin.
