Under the authority of sections 3.2 and 4.1 of the Wild Life Regulations
and the Wild Life Act
, I make the following regulations.

ORDER
Analysis
Short title
1.
This Order may be cited as the Salmon Angling and Tag Use Order, 2018
.

Limits
2.
(1) On or before July 20, 2018 the limit for the hooking and retention of salmon on rivers designated as Class 2 rivers under the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations
(Canada
) is one salmon.
(2)
On or before July 20, 2018 the limit for the hooking and releasing of salmon on the following rivers is 10 salmon:
(a)
rivers designated as Class 0 or Class 2 under the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations
(Canada
); and
(b)
rivers not listed in Schedule I of the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations
(Canada
).

Non-application
3.
Section 2 does not apply to angling under the authority of a licence issued under the Aboriginal Communal Fishing Licences Regulations
(Canada
).

Tags - class 2 rivers
4.
Salmon retained by angling on rivers designated as Class 2 rivers under the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations
(Canada
) shall be tagged with red tags only.

Conditions on tag use
5.
When a person affixes a tag referred to in this Order to a salmon, the person shall immediately cut out and remove the month and day of capture on the tag.

Repeal
6.
The Salmon Angling and Tag Use Order
, Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 50/10, is repealed.
