EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Liquor Control Act to give the liquor licensing board, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, the authority to make regulations respecting minimum prices that licence holders may charge for liquor.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE LIQUOR CONTROL ACT NO. 2 Analysis 1. S.61(1) Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN1990 cL-18 1. Subsection 61(1) of the Liquor Control Act is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (b) the following: (b.1) prescribe, with respect to alcoholic liquor sold and consumed on licensed premises, the minimum prices at which alcoholic liquor shall be sold to a patron;
