Urging government to acknowledge that status quo is failing survivors of sexual assault; undertake review of the K-to-12 curriculum to identify gaps in education about consent, healthy relationships and gender-based violence; implement alternative justice options, have Minister of Justice ask the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court to consider a practice directive which would prohibit opposing counsel from approaching witnesses and yelling at witnesses; introduce mandatory training for provincial judges on post-traumatic stress disorder and consent modeled on the federal requirement; consult with stakeholders to identify and appropriately fund new initiatives to prevent and address all forms of gender-based violence
