QUESTIONS

25. -- MR. ROLAND BUTLER (Port de Grave) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly information related to the incidents where the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary had to be called to settle disputes at the Water Street Office of Human Resources, Labour and Employment.

26. -- MR. ROLAND BUTLER (Port de Grave) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly detailed information which the Government used to make the decision to close twenty Human Resources, Labour and Employment Offices around the Province.

27. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Justice to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly a detailed accounting of the consultation conducted with town councils and community groups on the closure of courthouses throughout the Province and a report on the advice provided by these groups.

28. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Justice to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly the number of people currently under house arrest in the Province and the offences of which they have been convicted.

29. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Justice to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly the full details of the non-voluntary severance package which Government offered to the former Information and Privacy Commissioner, Mr. Wayne Mitchell.

30. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Justice to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly the following information:

(a) an itemized list of all the costs associated with the dismantling of the Salmonier Correctional Institution, including demolition contracts, environmental cleanup and relocation of assets;

(b) an itemized list of all the assets at the Salmonier Correctional Institution;

(c) a detailed list of accommodations for the prisoners held at the facility and the subsequent cost of moving the inmates;

(d) the status of the sale of all the facilities at the Salmonier Correctional Institution;

(e) the total maintenance cost for the Salmonier Correctional Institution since its closure.

31. -- MS. JUDY FOOTE (Grand Bank) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly information concerning negotiations the Province has entered into with the Federal Government in relation to the divestiture of airports in this Province.

32. -- MR. GEORGE SWEENEY (Carbonear-Harbour Grace) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Government Services to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly a list of fee increases and new fees which have been instituted since November 6, 2003.

33. -- MR. GEORGE SWEENEY (Carbonear-Harbour Grace) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Government Services to lay on the Table of the House of Assembly details on the backlogs which exist at the Motor Vehicle Registration Division and the actions taken by Government to overcome the backlog.
