QUESTIONS

21. -- MS. YVONNE JONES (Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Health and Community Services to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the number of children and adults on the waiting list for cardiac testing in Newfoundland and Labrador;

(b) the number of cardiac tests performed since November 6, 2003 in Newfoundland and Labrador;

(c) the number of patients that have been sent outside the province to receive cardiac treatments;

(d) the cost of sending patients outside the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador to receive cardiac care since November 6, 2003;

(e) the number of cardiologists working for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador; and

(f) how many vacancies currently exist in the area of cardiology in Newfoundland and Labrador.

22. -- MS. YVONNE JONES (Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Health and Community Services to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the number of children and adults on the waiting list for diagnostic treatments including MRI and CAT scan testing in Newfoundland and Labrador;

(b) the amount of MRIs and CAT scans performed since November 6, 2003 in Newfoundland and Labrador; and

(c) how many days were MRI and CAT scan diagnostic equipment not operable since November 6, 2003.
