MOTIONS

 

1. − THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY – To ask leave to introduce a Bill entitled, “An Act Respecting The Supreme Court In The Province”.  (Bill No. 7)

2. − THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD – To ask leave to introduce a Bill entitled, “An Act To Amend The Cannabis Control Act”. (Bill No. 19)

3. − THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move:

“WHEREAS the Commissioner for Legislative Standards recommended in the Mitchelmore Report dated November 13, 2019 that this Honourable House should reprimand the Member for St. Barbe-L'Anse aux Meadows in accordance with paragraph 39(a) of the House of Assembly Accountability, Integrity and Administration Act;

 

AND WHEREAS the practice in this Honourable House in dealing with recommendations under paragraph 39(a) of the Act requires Members to apologize to this Assembly;

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this House of Assembly concurs in the recommendation of the Commissioner for Legislative Standards and asks that the Member for St. Barbe-L'Anse aux Meadows stand in his place and apologize to this Assembly”.

 

4. − THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move:

“That in accordance with subsection 8(8) of the Standing Orders, the Fall 2019 sitting of the House of Assembly extend beyond Thursday, December 5, 2019 until it adjourns to the call of the Chair”.

 

5. – THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move pursuant to Standing Order 11(1) that the House not adjourn at 5:30 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, December 5th , 2019.
