4. – THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move:

“BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Assembly concur in the final report of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections on the Development of a Legislature-Specific Harassment-Free Workplace Policy dated April 8, 2019.”

5. – MR. ELVIS LOVELESS (Fortune Bay – Cape La Hune) – To Move:

“WHEREAS the Premier's Task Force on Improving Educational Outcomes and the Education Action Plan both recommended developing a phased-in implementation plan for Junior Kindergarten;

 

            AND WHEREAS Ontario, the Northwest Territories and Nova Scotia have implemented or are in the process of implementing province-wide junior kindergarten;

 

            AND WHEREAS play-based learning promotes children's natural sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on exploration of the world around them;

 

            THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Honourable House supports the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in taking necessary steps towards establishing a Junior Kindergarten program”.

 

6. – MR. PERRY TRIMPER (Lake Melville) – To Move:

“WHEREAS The Way Forward on Climate Change highlighted increasing electric vehicle usage within the Province as a priority for this Government;

 

AND WHEREAS increasing access to electric vehicle charging stations will encourage the transition to electric vehicles;

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Honourable House supports the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in its efforts to establish a network of electric vehicle charging stations across the Province”.
