Carbonear Municipal Planning Area, 2004

Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 I define the following area as the Carbonear Municipal Planning Area, 2004.

ORDER

Beginning at a point, that point being the most eastern tip of Crockers Point;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southerly direction passing through Carbonear Bay to the easternmost extremity of Mosquito Point;

Then running south 85 ° 30' west along the Carbonear municipal boundary a distance of 266.7 metres, more or less, to a point, geodetic station 93100 and spot elevation 16.5 metres;

Then continuing south 64 ° 00' west along that boundary a distance of 1,865.4 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then due south a distance of 615.7 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the intersection of a woods road and the Canadian National Railway;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the centre line of the Canadian National Railway a distance of 1,524 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being where Mosquito Brook intersects with the Canadian National Railway, that point being south 68 ° 30' west a distance of 1,383.8 metres, more or less, from the last given point;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the centre line of Mosquito Brook crossing the new Conception Bay Highway to the intersection of a woods road;

Then in a northwesterly direction along the centre line of the woods road to the intersection of another woods road, that point being 121.9 metres due west of Hoskins Pond;

Then along the centre line of the woods road a distance of 746.7 metres, more or less, to the intersection of another woods road, that point being north 59 ° 00' west 594.4 metres, more or less, from the southern tip of Hoskins Pond;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the centre line of the woods road to the intersection of the old Carbonear railroad reservation on the western side of Maidens Pond, that point being south 63 ° 30' west and 2,910.8 metres, more or less, from the last given point;

Then in a northerly direction along the centre line of the railroad reservation for a distance of 182.9 metres, more or less, to the intersection of another woods road;

Then along the centre line of the woods road in a northwesterly direction to a point on the southern tip of McCarthys Pond;

Then following the sinuosities of McCarthys Pond in a generally westerly direction a distance of 76.2 metres, more or less, to the intersection of another woods road;

Then along the centre line of the woods road in a southwesterly direction to a point, that point being 30.5 metres, more or less, west of the intersection of a road running from Round Pond;

Then continuing south 8 ° 00' west a distance of 457.2 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 150 metres;

Then south 50 ° 00' west a distance of 777.2 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 161.2 metres;

Then south 79 ° 15' west a distance of 2,194.6 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 141.1 metres;

Then south 87 ° 30' west a distance of 1,143 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 173.7 metres;

Then north 48 ° 15' west a distance of 1,082 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 172.8 metres;

Then north 2 ° 00' east a distance of 1,280.2 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 182.6 metres;

Then north 59 ° 30' west a distance of 1,066.8 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 197.5 metres;

Then north 27 ° 30' east a distance of 1,524 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 37 ° 30' west a distance of 685.8 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 197.2 metres;

Then north 72 ° 00' east a distance of 1,310.6 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then south 68 ° 00' east a distance of 640.1 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 175.6 metres;

Then north 26 ° 30' east a distance of 609.6 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 75 ° 00' east a distance of 1,447.8 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 183.8 metres;

Then north 49 ° 30' west a distance of 1,127.8 metres, more or less, to a point, spot elevation 155.1 metres;

Then north 53 ° 45' east a distance of 1, 280 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being on the Victoria planning area boundary;

Then south 85 ° 00' east along that boundary 6,187.4 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then north 66 ° 00' east a distance of 1,384 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern side of the Conception Bay North Highway, Route 70;

Then south 46 ° 35' east a distance of 1,288 metres, more or less, to a point on Lilly Pond Road ;

Then north 89 ° 30' east a distance of 1,620 metres, more or less, to the highwater mark on the shoreline of Conception Bay, and due west of an unnamed island;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southerly direction passing Crockers Cove to the Point of Beginning;

All bearings refer to Grid North, central meridian 53 ° west longitude, and as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:12,000 Crown Lands and Surveys Division, Department of Mines, Agriculture and Resources mapping, 1971 edition, and reference to the 1971 edition of the Department of Forest, Resources and Lands coloured aerial photographs.

The Carbonear Municipal Planning Area , Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 826/96, is repealed.
