Humber Valley Regional Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 6 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000, I establish the following area as a regional planning area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the eastern end of Main Dam on the eastern shoreline of Junction Brook on the northern shoreline of Grand Lake, that point having co-ordinates north 5,449,546 metres and east 481,354 metres, and being on the Deer Lake Municipal Planning Area Boundary;

Then   south 12 ° 49' 52" west 1706.6 metres, more or less, to a point on the western shoreline of Grand Lake, that point called the Narrows;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the western shoreline of Grand Lake 80,427.5 metres, more or less, to a point at the mouth of an unnamed brook having co-ordinates north 5,397,649 metres and east 438,275 metres;

Then north 34 ° 37' 45" west 1,853.2 metres, more or less, to a high point on the western boundary of the Corner Brook Lake catchment area;

Then in a clockwise direction along the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area Boundary, as described in the Newfoundland Gazette, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 839/96 dated June 21, 1996 to a high point east of Rubber Lake and having co-ordinates north 5,426,269.07 metres and east 441,420.38 metres;

Then leaving the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area Boundary and proceeding north 22 ° 9' 2" east 16886 metres, more or less, to the summit of Old Man Mountain having co-ordinates north 5,441,908.95 metres and east 447,787.19 metres;

Then north 43 ° 7' 17" east 21,017 metres, more or less, to the summit of an unnamed hill having co-ordinates north 5,457,249.59 metres and east 462,153.47 metres;

Then north 67 ° 14' 39" east 1,113.50 metres, more or less, to a point on the northwest corner of the Cormack Municipal Planning Area Boundary;

Then in a clockwise direction along the Cormack Municipal Planning Area Boundary as described in the Newfoundland Gazette, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 838/96 dated June 21, 1996 to a point on the northwest corner of the Reidville Municipal Planning Area Boundary;

Then in a clockwise direction along the Reidville Municipal Planning Area Boundary as described in the Newfoundland Gazette, Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 96/04 dated September 17, 2004 to a point on the western bank of the Upper Humber River having co-ordinates north 5452938.00 metres and east 472622.00 metres;

Then south 13 ° 0' 35" west 284.3 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern bank of the Upper Humber River and the eastern shoreline of Junction Brook on the Deer Lake Municipal Planning Area Boundary;

Then in a generally easterly direction along the Deer Lake Municipal Planning Area Boundary as described in the Newfoundland Gazette, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 842/96, dated June 21, 1996 , to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the digital National Topographic Maps UTM Zone 21.
