Communicable Disease Orders Regulations
under the
Public Health Protection and Promotion Act

Under the authority of section 59 of the Public Health Protection and Promotion Act,
the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

These regulations may be cited as the Communicable Disease Orders Regulations

In these regulations, "Act" means the Public Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Communicable disease orders
3.
(1) For the purposes of paragraphs 32(2)(o) and (5)(l) of the Act, a communicable disease order may
(a)
prohibit or restrict the person from driving a vehicle; and
(b)
require the person to surrender his or her driver's licence to a regional medical officer of health.
(2)
A regional medical officer of health shall return a driver's licence surrendered in accordance with a communicable disease order upon termination or suspension of the communicable disease order.
