Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Comfort Cove - Newstead Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Comfort Cove - Newstead are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 620/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point at the highwater mark in the eastern shoreline of Indian Arm, that point bearing south 42° east 1,200 metres, more or less, from the eastern end of Steering Island ;

Then running from that point of beginning east 2,500 metres, more or less, to a point at the highwater mark in the western shoreline of Loon Bay;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the western shoreline of Loon Bay , via Newstead Harbour and Comfort Cove to Comfort Head;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the eastern shoreline of Indian Arm, via Net Cove Head, Chapel Head, Chapel Cove, Long Point and Indian Head to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
