CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 188/96

Local Service District of Goobies
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Analysis



District continued

        1. The area comprising the community of Goobies is continued as a local service district by the name of the Local Service District of Goobies .

        2. The boundaries for the local service district are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 123/85 and 229/91 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the western bank of Come By Chance River, that point being 400 metres west of the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway and 1.9 kilometres, more or less, northward of the Burin Peninsula Highway (Route 210) intersection;

Then in a southerly direction along a line parallel to and 400 metres from the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway 3.6 kilometres, more or less, to a point on the eastern shoreline of Come By Chance Pond;

Then in a southerly direction along the eastern shoreline of the pond to a point where the pond empties into Come By Chance River ;

Then due east to the western sideline of the Trans Canada Highway ;

Then in a southerly direction along the western sideline of the highway to a point due west of horizontal control monument No. 82G3115 and being 3.9 kilometres, more or less, south via the centre line of the highway from its intersection with Route 210;

Then north 54° west 2.9 kilometres, more or less, to a high point at a Crown Lands monument;

Then north 83° 30' west 2.1 kilometres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of Route 210 where the highway crosses an unnamed indefinite stream;

Then north 81° west 1.5 kilometres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of an unnamed road where the road crosses an unnamed indefinite stream flowing from Miller's Full Pond;

Then in a northerly direction along the stream to the southern extremity of that pond;

Then north 50° 30' east 1.5 kilometres, more or less, to a high point;

Then in a northeasterly direction to the westernmost extremity of Butts Pond;

Then in a northeasterly direction along the northern shoreline of that pond to the easternmost extremity of that pond;

Then north 54° 30' east 1,850 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way where it crosses an unnamed stream;

Then in a easterly direction along the northern bank of the stream to a point on the western bank of Come By Chance River ;

Then in a northerly direction along the western bank of the river to the point of beginning.

All bearings herein refer to grid north, Zone 22, and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:5000 and 1:50,000 scale Topographic Mapping.
