Lewisporte Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act , I define the following area as the Lewisporte Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at Wigwam Point, Burnt Bay;

Then south 68° 30' west 6,800 metres and south 23° west 7,000 metres;

Then south 55° east 2,000 metres to the southwestern end of Upper Stanhope Pond and following the southeastern shoreline to the northeastern end of that pond;

Then due east 1,000 metres and south 18° east 1,300 metres;

Then due east 1,500 metres and north 31° east 11,000 metres;

Then due west 2,000 metres to the point at the eastern side of the entrance to Emily Cove;

Then following the shoreline of Burnt Bay around Lewisporte Harbour to Wigwam Point, the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 mapping.

The Town of Lewisporte Municipal Planning Area , 1977, Newfoundland Regulation 1040/78, is repealed.
