Red Bay to Cartwright Road Approval of
Construction Order

Environmental Assessment Act

Under the authority of section 32 of the Environmental Assessment Act , the Minister of Environment and Labour, with the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, makes the following Order.

Analysis



Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Red Bay to Cartwright Road Approval of Construction Order.

Approval to proceed

        2. The Department of Works, Services and Transportation is permitted to proceed with construction of the Red Bay to Cartwright road subject to the following terms and conditions:

             (a)  that the Department of Works, Services and Transportation abide by all commitments made in the Environmental Impact Statement and Component Studies; and

             (b)  that the Department of Works, Services and Transportation submit for approval of the Minister of Environment and Labour separate Environmental Protection Plans for each construction site, starting at Red Bay, Lodge Bay, Port Hope Simpson, Charlottetown, Cartwright and Paradise Road, before the commencement of construction.
