Notice of Protected Water Supply Area of
Ranger Bight, WS-S-0443

under the
Water Resources Act

Under the authority of section 39 of the Water Resources Act , I designate the area generally known as the Ranger Bight Pond Water Supply Area, WS-S-0443, for the Town of Makkovik as a protected water supply area.

NOTICE

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral District of Torngat Mountains abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 357 942 metres and northing 6 104 374 metres;

Then running in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 465 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  358 120 metres and northing 6 104 803 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 885 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting   358 933 metres and northing 6 104 455 metres;

Then running in a easterly direction for a distance of 1664 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  360 596 metres and northing 6 104 375 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 445 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  360 435 metres and northing 6 103 959 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 1701 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  360 750 metres and northing 6 102 288 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 1957 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  359 793 metres and northing 6 100 580 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 2747 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  360 283 metres and northing 6 097 877 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 1182 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  359 253 metres and northing 6 097 298 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 998 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  358 606 metres and northing 6 096 538 metres;

Then running in a westerly direction for a distance of 1280 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  357 363 metres and northing 6 096 843 metres;

Then running in a northerly direction for a distance of 1765 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  356 821 metres and northing 6 098 522 metres;

Then running in a northerly direction for a distance of 3900 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting  358 109 metres and northing 6 102 203 metres;

Then running in a northerly direction for a distance of 2177 metres, more or less, to the point of commencement.

All coordinates refer Zone 21 of the NAD 83 Universal Transverse Mercator Projection.
