Aquaforte Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 , I define the following area as the Aquaforte Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the Ferryland municipal planning area boundary having coordinates north 5,207,846 metres and east 311,174 metres, more or less, where Stony River enters Aquaforte Harbour;

Then following the Ferryland municipal planning area boundary along the centerline of the river's course to where the river intersects the Southern Shore Highway;

Then continuing along the Ferryland municipal planning area boundary to the headwaters of Stony River ;

Then along the Ferryland municipal planning area boundary to a point on the summit of Spout Hill;

Then along the Ferryland municipal planning area boundary where a power transmission line intersects with the center line of the old rail bed;

Then south 53° 39' west, a distance of 8492 metres, more or less, to a point on the Fermeuse municipal boundary;

Then in a generally easterly direction along the Fermeuse municipal boundary to a point in the center line of the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10);

Then south 75° east 3,350 metres, more or less to a point on the Port Kirwan municipal boundary, that being a point on the center line of Ferry Road

Then along Port Kirwan municipal boundary to the shoreline of Lawler Bay ;

Then running in a generally westerly and then easterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via South Head, Lance Cove, Island Cove, Horse Cove, Sandy Cove and Spout Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50000 National Topographical (Digital) mapping.
