CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 948/96

West St. Modeste Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the West St. Modeste Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at the mouth of an unnamed river that flows into Pinware Bay ;

Then following the sinuosities of the south bank of that river in a southwesterly direction to a point and from that point south 20° west a distance of 3,040 metres, more or less, to the summit of a hill;

Then running south 36° east a distance of 900 metres, more or less;

Then running south 64° east a distance of 1,625 metres to the highwater mark of the shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle;

Then following the shoreline in a generally northerly direction passing through Cape Diable and the Tickle and including West St. Modeste Island to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to grid north.
