EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Liquor Corporation Act to permit the corporation to determine different rates of gross profit payable to the corporation by brewers with respect to different classes or types of beer or based on the quantity of beer produced by the brewers for sale by persons other than the corporation.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE LIQUOR CORPORATION ACT Analysis 1. S.38(3) R&S Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN1990 cL-19 1. Subsection 38(3) of the Liquor Corporation Act is repealed and the following substituted: (3) The board may set the rate of gross profit for the purpose of subsection (2), and may set different rates for different types or classes of beer or based upon different quantities of beer produced by a brewer.
