EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would repeal and replace section 22 of the Vital Statistics Act so that fees paid to registering officers for forwarding notification of the births and deaths occurring in their region to the Registrar General would be set by the Minister of Government Services. Presently the fee amount is stated in section 22 of the Act and may be increased by an order of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council. |
